Although higher education is often thought of as a way for young people of color to get ahead, the reality is that minority students still face a major crisis after graduation: debt. While student debt is at an all-time-high for all Americans, African American college graduates bear an amount of that debt that is disproportionate to that of white students, and employment and wage discrimination often mean they'll have a harder time paying those loans back.
