Massachusetts’ pay equity bill passed the Senate unanimously in January and currently sits in the House Committee on Ways and Means. With support from House Speaker Robert DeLeo, the bill is gaining momentum. The bill aims to promote salary transparency, incentivize salary reviews, and prohibit salary history from grounding an employee’s pay.
