Despite the comprehensive and groundbreaking nature of Massachusetts’ equal pay law, women will not automatically achieve true pay equity. The law will, however, move to change company climates so that employees may freely discuss salary and the wage gap and employers might be motivated to monitor and mitigate gender based discrimination in the workplace.
