On Women’s Equality Day, the ratification of the 19^th Amendment (that which gave women the right to vote) is celebrated. Ninety-six years later, women are still held back by gender inequality in significant ways: domestic duties are exclusively internalized as women’s work, women are not advancing in STEM fields, and many still doubt the legitimacy of the wage gap.
