Women’s Equality Day reminds us of the significant strides needed to near true gender equality, one of which is closing the wage gap. Regardless of educational attainment, experience or age, women consistently face lower median earnings. Women of color are now the most educated group, yet they face some of the largest wage gaps. Not all hope is lost, however. There are tangible measures we can take. Banning salary history from the interview process, cultivating widespread culture change, and taking full advantage of company offerings are a good place to start.
