A few months ago, Massachusetts became the first state to ban salary history questions from the interview process in an effort to end cycles of gender-based wage discrimination. Sounds of the unanimously passed pay equity bill reverberated across the country, with similar legislation emerging in New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey and even on the federal level. Local Chambers of Commerce have also been heavily involved in the process.
