Although women have made progress in entering management roles in the private sector, new data show that there's still a long way to go. For example, in a sample of 1500 corporations, only around 20% of C-Suite and board positions were currently held by women in North America. That number increases only to 30% when accounting for all management roles. These numbers are even more staggering considering that 80% of the surveyed companies claimed to have made some form of commitment to improving gender diversity.
