MA Equal Pay Act Hopes to Further Combat Wage Discrimination

Going into effect on July 1, the recently updated Equal Pay Act hopes to better address the wage-gap in Massachusetts. The law reaffirms the state's commitment to assuring its citizens equal pay for equal work, adding provisions that increase the punishments organizations found guilty of wage discrimination face and provide women essential protections if they attempt to take their employer to court.
