Closing the Gender Wage Gap Will Lead to a More Robust Economy

IWPR finds that closing the gender wage gap would have added $482 billion to women’s average annual earnings in 2014 alone. This would decrease the poverty rate among working women by 50 percent, prepare women more adequately for retirement, and stimulate the American economy.
