Not only are there less women attempting to start their own business in the marketplace, but there is also substantially less venture capital funding flowing to start-ups with at least one woman founder. The VC sector is comprised of mostly men, making it an inhospitable environment for women making a pitch. Whether the lack of female entrepreneurs or lack of capital funding came first, there are a few things that can help close this gap.
